Molasses Krinkles

A fun twist to the molasses krinkle cookie.


3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 whole egg
2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk
bag of candy cane kisses


Cream together your shortening and brown sugar. Add the molasses, egg, flour, baking soda, salt and spices - mix.

Roll dough into a ball and press with a floured bottom of a glass.

Bake at 350 for 9-11 minutes. When you remove them from the oven place the candy cane kiss in the center - allow to set and harden. Enjoy!
